A Midwest Love Story | Maria & Brock’s Wedding Day 6.28.2025

Some love stories are written in the stars! Maria met Brock through her good friend and roommate, who just so happened to be his sister. From the very first day, Maria knew: there was something special about him, she even journaled about it on that very day, which turned out to be an incredible testimony she shared on their wedding night.

Life could’ve taken her west — to wild pastures, a wrangler's life on a ranch. But Maria followed her heart instead. That choice kept her in the Midwest, where faith and fate worked hand in hand to deliver her the cowboy/farmer and life of her dreams.

And on a sunny summer day, they gathered with loved ones from across the country to celebrate the beginning of their forever.

The morning started with laughter and hairspray at Grandpa Moonie’s, where Maria and her bridal crew got ready. The girls were radiant in a princess palette bursting with joy, matched perfectly by the floral elegance of the mothers of the bride and groom. Meanwhile, Brock and his crew — just as dashing — waited patiently for that unforgettable walk down the aisle.

The ceremony took place at the stunning Wexford Church, nestled in the peaceful Iowa countryside. It was everything a country wedding should be: full of reverence, sincerity, and the kind of cheer that fills a space with joy. Father Joseph delivered a service that perfectly balanced the sincerity from the heart and uproars of laughter from inside jokes with the couple.

After saying their vows, the couple made a quick stop at the shop of Brock’s best man — a brief detour that led to some epic golden-hour portraits in the groom’s cornfield (because what’s more iconic than a bride and groom in their own Iowa cornfield?).

Then it was time to party.

The couple and their wedding party hopped on a party bus and made their way to the Allamakee Fairgrounds Pavilion, where their reception was filled with family and best friends and a ton of beautiful babies. A totally child friendly event — complete with a taco bar and let me tell you — it was delicious!

The night unfolded with heartfelt toasts, epic line dancing, and a whole lot of love. It was colorful, joyful, and uniquely them — a celebration that reflected their deep roots, wild hearts, and unwavering connection to the people who’ve shaped their story.

Enjoy a glimpse at their perfect day through my lens:
