Ashley and Ryan’s day was a perfect blend of classic and contemporary — a modern take on a traditional ceremony. The historic Old Stone Church set a breathtaking scene for this sweet couple as they became Mr. and Mrs. Hageman. The weather, the light, the laughter — everything aligned for an unforgettable celebration surrounded by family and friends.
It truly felt like stepping into another time as guests gathered at the Old Stone Church, waiting for the wedding party to arrive down the gravel road. The stone walls and quiet countryside offered a timeless backdrop that felt both sacred and serene.
From the moment you meet Ashley and Ryan, it’s easy to see their love and comfort with one another — and their devotion to sweet Brantley. I was so thrilled to document their wedding day and still can’t get over all of the fun and heartfelt moments: their first look, portraits in the pasture, private vows, and that stunning outdoor ceremony at one of the most charming historic churches in Iowa. Every detail was beautiful, from the bride’s gown to the floral touches, their wedding party, and the glow of the setting sun… it all came together in the most stunning way.
The reception at the Decorah Fairgrounds carried that same warmth and heart. Family and friends shared emotional speeches that had everyone laughing and tearing up in the same breath. One of the most memorable moments was when Ashley dedicated her bouquet to her mom — a heartfelt tribute to the woman who’s been by her side through everything and helped shape her into who she is today. Good job, Mom, you’ve raised a beautiful daughter inside and out.
We are so grateful to have been a part of Ashley and Ryan’s story. It was truly an honor to capture their day, and we hope these images bring back all the joy, laughter, and love for years to come:
